ISO 27001
As we use client’s data for printing and mailing work, we have to go through an audit process every year to ensure best practices are being met. This demonstrates to all of our clients, that your TPW take information security extremely seriously and does as much as possible to reduce identified risks to an acceptable level and manage them effectively.
So what is ISO27001?
- ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised standard that sets out a best practice framework for an Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- This basically means that we as a company have controls in place to manage the use of our client’s data and ensure that it’s looked after appropriately, highlight any potential risks and deal with to reduce those risks accordingly.
- To be clear, we do not store data long term, we simply use it to generate personalised documents, be they simple letters or complicated benefit statements, it’s always the same, soon after the job is completed, the data gets shredded electronically.
All of our staff are trained accordingly and for example we have reminders around the workplace such as clear desks, locked screens, talking about secure information posters, just simple posters to remind staff of their own responsibilities.
